On the floor below,
a larger outside
area will host a
dining room,
a 'contemplation' niche, and a sitting area. The main challenge with this terrace is to exclude the neighbours, while retaining the view over Villa Ada and the countryside to the west and north.
This will be done
by means of a very light trellis – iron uprights and steel cord horizontals – along the long side, bearing climbers.

Situated in Rome's northern suburbs, this little eagle's- nest attic is directly outside the owner's study, and is intended to be a continuation of the same.
