(Hanging Garden)

This walled garden in the centro storico of a small Umbrian town had been largely abandoned until recently, when it was used to store building materials during the restoration of the adjoining house.

At street level on the north side, the garden is some four metres above the alley to the south due to the topography of the hill-top town. This puts it rather uncomfortably at the first-floor window level of surrounding houses.
